Michelle Bridges is the trainer on The Biggest Loser and one of Australia's most popular health and fitness experts. Here she tells the Australian Institute of Fitness her top 10 tips to better health and fitness - great advice you can pass straight on to your clients.

#1 Clean up your diet and get rid of the crap

#2 Get your training done in the morning, so you won’t get distracted

#3 Set yourself a goal like a fun run to get inspired

#4 Do some fitness tests and measurements, so you know when you’ve improved

#5 Mix up your training – get a personal trainer, go for a run, do a fitness class, etc.

#6 Go through your diary and work out when you’ll be training in advance

#7 Work out your danger days (e.g. birthdays), so you can prepare for them and eat lighter beforehand

#8 Be the designated driver on nights out so you don’t drink

#9 Increase the intensity in your training if you’re not seeing results

#10 Use technology in your training, such as a heart rate monitor
