Massage Therapy

To create a niche in the fitness industry it’s important to diversify.  By studying a Sports Massage Course or a Massage Therapy Program you’ll be able to grow your business by attracting new customers and retaining your current ones.

Here at the Australian Institute of Fitness the Master Trainer Advantage course offers a combined Personal Training and Massage qualification that delivers a hands-on approach to learning how to massage effectively.

A dual qualification in Personal Training and massage will enable you to generate income from two sources and to facilitate crossover between both client bases.  Your first massage client may be so impressed with your deep tissue massage that they want to sign up for a personal training session.  On the other side, your Personal Training client might be in need of a relaxation or sports massage after training with you for a few weeks.   There are many ways you’ll be able to manage this process and up sell your services from both client bases.  In your marketing plan you might offer your personal training clients 1 free massage.  If you’re good, then you’ve hooked a client into your other income stream – awesome!

Many health professionals advise their gym or fitness clients to warm-up, stretch and relax the muscles to avoid injury and pain.  The benefits of being a masseur and a personal trainer are that you’ll be able to offer a holistic approach to your clients’ well-being.  If they are experiencing pain, muscle tiredness or soreness, then a massage could be offered at that point.  There’s a natural harmony between the two disciplines that allows you to develop your business into something special.
