Become a Spin Instructor

Spin your way to success with a group instructor certification.  Spinning or stationery biking is a high energy, high calorie-burning workout.  It’s an easy transition for many people who enjoy spin classes to progress to a spin instructor qualification.  Once qualified, instructors are able to guide and motivate a class that they were once a part of.

Creating a positive environment in the spin class is a great way to engage participants and get them motivated to come along to more classes!  An added benefit to a personal training career is being able to diversify your fitness portfolio to include group fitness classes.  From there, word of mouth advertising can generate leads back to your personal training business.

Establish yourself as an approachable instructor and listen to your class members.  Give them the opportunity to provide you with constructive feedback on their performance, technique improvement, adjustments to the routine, music and level of difficulty.  It’s important to connect with the class as the levels of fitness will vary from the beginner through to the ultra fit!

Mix up the routines and music to keep the spin class fresh and exciting.  Music is one of the key tools in motivating group fitness classes so make sure the music is up-beat and synchronised to the routines you’re creating.  Remember to include some hill climbs in your spinning routines to help class members build cardiovascular strength and power.
