Mark McKean

Mark McKean completed his PhD in 2009 in the area of Movement Coordination and Muscle Balance. Mark lectures at the University of Sunshine Coast, is a level 2 Strength & Conditioning Coach with ASCA and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with NSCA. Mark is the Strength Coach for the NTID Kayak program on the Sunshine Coast, and has coached athletes to international level in eighteen different sports, including 5 medals at Olympic and World Championships. Mark’s awards include Australian Fitness Network Author of the Year (2001), an award for Contributions to the Fitness Industry (2002), Australian Personal Trainer of the Year (2003) and the SRQ Outstanding Contribution to the Fitness Industry Award (2008).

Lisa Champion

Lisa Champion, MSc (Exercise Science), is a multi-talented educator and trainer who has shared her expertise and knowledge worldwide as a keynote speaker, convention presenter, workshop leader, radio presenter and accomplished author. In her role as a Director of the Australian Fitness Network she has had a positive influence on the development of the fitness industry in Australia for more than 20 years. Lisa is the co-creator of the PERFECT PRACTICE™ Training System that she uses to inspire movement integrity, postural awareness, performance maximisation and injury minimisation in all who use it. In her work as an Exercise Therapist, Lisa specialises in assessing and training core control, releasing and retraining muscle for optimal posture and movement and connecting the brain to the body to improve movement habits. Her ultimate goal is to help others improve their quality of life through better movement.

Tony Boutagy

Tony Boutagy

Tony Boutagy is the director of the Sydney Sports & Athletic Performance Centre, a strength training facility located in Cremorne, Sydney and a PhD student at Charles Darwin University. In the past Tony has lectured for the Australian Institute of Fitness, the Australian Fitness Network, Australian Catholic University, NetFit New Zealand and New Zealand Weightlifting. Having coached athletes in eighteen different sports, Tony is actively involved in strength and conditioning and providing educational seminars and resources for personal trainers at his facility in Cremorne. Tony was the recipient of the 2004 Australian Fitness Industry’s Author of the Year Award and is a certified Active Release Techniques provider for the Upper and Lower Extremities. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association, the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, the American Nutraceutical Association, and the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association.

Mark Davis

Mark Davis is a physiotherapist with extensive experience in gym-based rehabilitation. Mark was the founder of Springboard Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. He has over 25 years experience in the fitness industry and has developed effective rehabilitation systems for individuals, sports and industry. Mark has been involved in instructor training since 1990. He has presented and worked in program development for Australian Fitness Network, The Children’s Hospital Institute of Sports Medicine and the Australian Institute of Fitness. Mark has lectured in exercise and sport science undergraduate programs at the University of NSW and Australian Catholic University. He has also presented at numerous fitness industry conventions. Mark’s area of interest in fitness is in the development of exercise protocols that restore function and develop self-efficacy in injured people.
