Campus Make Over 2008
This year has been the year of change, rearrange and more colour. The Institute Team has given the Campus a mini face lift through sheer hard work and elbow grease (aka painting). As you walk into our Campus you will feel inspired and motivated by our brightness!
Mini Guru Bootcamp Tues 27th May 2008
Capturing and rearranging a 3-day event into 1 massive mini-bootcamp comes down to the hard work of Steve Jensen. The ACT Careers Guru’s along with some interstate Guru’s, Steve was able to prepare all individuals with the necessary tools to contribute towards their team and Campus goals.
Action buses now direct to Fairbairn campus
Action buses new 08 timetable includes a number of services to Fairbairn and the BBP. You can now access the campus from all local interchanges and get dropped off just out the front of the Institute. For more details and bus routes check out www.action.act.gov.au
FIRE Night
On Tuesday 17th June 2008 the Australian Institute of Fitness (ACT) held its first combined FIRE night and Open day. The evening was a great opportunity for graduates to meet industry employers with a number of job interviews organised on the night and eventually turning into fitness careers. It was also a chance for people looking to join the industry to come out and see the campus whilst having the opportunity to talk to course graduates and the friendly team at the institute. Fitness ACT awards night
The Fitness ACT awards night was held December 2007 with a large turnout to celebrate the success of the local industry and all individuals involved. The Institute team booked out a table for the event as we had a number of individuals nominated for various awards. A big congratulations to Jess for receiving the runner up for Fitness Educator of the year, Murray Green receiving runner up in Team Member of the year and well done to Joe Matthews for receiving the Fitness Educator of the year! Well done to everyone who received an award and thankyou to everyone involved on the night.
Big Night Out Friday 11th April 2008
The ACT Campus held its first Graduation Ball for the year at The Vikings Club Erindale in April. The night was a fantastic event bringing current and past friends together along with mixing it up amongst some of our local Career Partners. As a treat our guests were exposed to a live cooking show, demonstrating how you can prepare a hearty healthy meal for only $6.00. The night was capped off by lots of dancing, including the mandatory Nutbush!
