About Kate
Kate has been sharing her passion for fitness with the world since 2004, when she graduated from the Institute and began her journey as a Personal Trainer working aboard a luxury cruise liner around Mediterranean Europe and the Caribbean.? Afterwards, Kate returned to Australia to build a personal training column at Fernwood Women's Health Club where she was also responsible for the training and management of her fellow PT's and Gym Instructors.? As well as specialising in personal training, Kate is a dynamic group fitness instructor, with a particular dedication to Group Cycling and Pilates.
In 2006, Kate began work with the internationally acclaimed Creative Fitness Marketing (CFM), allowing her to grow through experience in over 15 different gyms around Australia.? It was during this time she developed a keen interest in the business of fitness, while keeping her technical skills finely tuned.? The experience also took her to the Bahamas, Las Vegas and Singapore to attend international CFM conventions.
Since re-settling in Brisbane in 2008, Kate has established her own personal training business with an emphasis on Russian Kettlebell Training.
Kate has experienced many times how fitness professionals can significantly change people's lives, and it is for this reason that coaching the Friends of the Institute to be the very best that they can be is an absolute privilege to her!? Aside from all things fitness, Kate loves to shop, read motivating books, dance all night, laugh, get absorbed by gadgets, watch and take part in any sport, relax in nature, hang out with her mates, lie in the sun, play with animals of any type (she used to be a Wildlife Ranger) and is currently developing her skills at mixing electronic music so she can one day dominate the world as a famous DJ!
